Compression of the article cache in XP

I'm thinking of turning disk compression on (via Windows XP) to reduce the size of the cache files. Some of these files are so large Defrag can't do its job due to the number of fragments. I plan on applying the compression only to the folder that contains the server.group.txt files. This files are straight text and should compress well. There appears to be only one folder involved. Before I proceed, however, I wanted to get any helpful comments.

Yes, there is just one folder. It shouldn't have any negative impact on Binary Boy. In fact I'm working on a much more efficient cache system and have found a very nice speed increase as a side effect of the smaller files.
